The Golden Lovers is a professional wrestling tag team comprising Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi. They formed the team in 2008 while wrestling in their native Japan and gained worldwide recognition for their high-flying and innovative wrestling style. The team disbanded in 2014 when Ibushi left the wrestling promotion to pursue a career in acting. They reunited in February 2018 for a highly anticipated match in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, which they won. Since then, they have continued to team up sporadically, including winning the IWGP Tag Team Championship in 2019. The team is known for their chemistry and athletic abilities, and they have often been praised as one of the best tag teams in the world.
